Cement Australia expands operations in WA

Cement Australia’s Acquisition of BGC Cementitious Division Completes on 1 October

Cement Australia (CA), a joint venture between Holcim Australia and Heidelberg Materials Australia, is pleased to announce that the acquisition of the cementitious division of the Buckeridge Group of Companies (BGC) has completed today, 1 October 2025.

As previously communicated, CA has acquired BGC Cement, including its cement operations, related transport operations and the cement related assets of BGC’s Materials Technology Centre.

Regarding concrete, CA has BGC Concrete’s RMX site at Kwinana, which it will lease to Holcim. Holcim will also take over BGC Concrete’s RMX operations at Canning Vale, while Heidelberg Materials Australia has will take over those in Bassendean.
