Leslie Cadzow was appointed Independent Chairman of Cement Australia on 1 April 2009 following his retirement as Chief Executive of Hanson Australia and Asia Pacific.  Leslie joined Hanson Australia (formerly Pioneer International) in 1976 and held several senior management positions within the Group from 1990.  He has had extensive broad experience in Australia in quarrying, concrete production and related logistic operations.  In 1990 he was appointed an executive director of Hanson Australia and its subsidiaries.  In July 2001 Leslie was made Chief Executive, Hanson Australia.  Following a reorganisation in June 2004 he added Asia Pacific to his existing responsibilities becoming Chief Executive, Hanson Australia and Asia Pacific.

Ian Thackwray

Ian Thackwray holds an MA (Hons) in Chemistry and is also a chartered accountant.  Initially he joined Price Waterhouse, handling major corporate accounts in Europe. In 1985, he started a career with a major multinational in the  chemicals industry, serving in various management roles in Europe, North America and Asia. From 2004 to 2006, he served the Asian/Pacific President based out of Shanghai.

In September 2006, he joined Holcim and was appointed COO of Holcim Philippines. In 2009, the Board of Directors appointed him a member of the Executive Committee.  His area of responsibility spans East Asia, including China, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Oceania and South and East Africa.

Kevin Gluskie

Kevin joined Hanson Australia (formerly Pioneer International) in 1990 and has held a number of management positions in Tasmania, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

In 1999 he was appointed Regional General Manager with responsibility for the Hanson concrete, aggregate, landfill and logistics businesses in Victoria and Tasmania.  In 2008 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer for Hanson Australia and has replaced Leslie Cadzow as Chief Executive for Hanson Australia upon Leslie’s retirement in March 2009

Paul O'Callaghan

Paul O'Callaghan is Regional Manager of Holcim Australia and Holcim New Zealand and is based in Brisbane. Paul has over 20 years experience in the cement industry, most recently having spent six years as Chief Operating Officer for Holcim Philippines. Prior to moving to the Philippines in 2001, he held a variety of positions with Queensland Cement Ltd in operations, sales and marketing and in project management. 

Rob Davies

Rob Davies joined Cement Australia as CEO in March 2012. An MBA graduate, with a Bachelor of Mineral Technology (Hons), Rob has extensive executive, senior management and operational experience in manufacturing environments in both New Zealand and Australia.  Prior to joining Cement Australia, Rob was the Chief Executive of Carter Holt Harvey Woodproducts in New Zealand.

Mark Campbell

Mark began his career in the Extractives Industry in the UK with Pioneer Group in 1989, after completion of a civil engineering degree. In the 12 years with Pioneer, he held various concrete, aggregate & asphalt managerial roles in the UK before moving to Malaysia to build a new Aggregates Division.  He later held the position of Executive Director in Malaysia. Since relocating to Australia in January 2001 to join CSR Construction Materials, Mark has held positions as the General Manager CSR Readymix in SEQ, COO Readymix Concrete (2001 – 2005) and Vice President Aggregates (2005 – 2010) prior to his current position leading the national Holcim business and Humes subsidiary business as CEO from January 1, 2011.

Graham Reaney is a Director of St. George Bank, AGL, So Natural Foods and is Chairman of PMP Ltd. He worked in the resources industry for 15 years including Rio Tinto and Peko Wallsend. He is a former Managing Director of National Foods Limited and Industrial Equity Limited.

Jan Vencalek

Jan Vencalek is the CFO of Hanson Australia. Jan joined HeidelbergCement in 2005 and before being appointed to his current role in 2008 he spent 3 years as a Finance Director of HeidelbergCement operations in Czech Republic. Before joining HeidelbergCement he worked for South African SABMiller brewing operations in Czech Republic (Pilsner Urquell) in various financial roles.

He also experienced Czech financial markets being a Chief Operations Officer for leading stock broker company and as a member of Trading Committee of Prague Stock Exchange.
While a Civil Engineer by education, Jan gained chartered accountant qualification working for KPMG in early nineties.

Clive Cuthell

Clive Cuthell is the CFO of Holcim Australia. Clive is a Chartered Accountant and spent 10 years with Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. He joined Rinker group in 2003 and became CFO – Readymix Australia in 2005. He also spent two years as the CFO of Stockland's residential property business and returned to the Readymix business in 2009 when it was acquired by Holcim Australia.

Thomas Aebischer

Swiss national, born in 1961. Thomas Aebischer is a Swiss Certified Accountant and alumnus of the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School. He started his career with the tax authorities of the Canton of Berne. From 1988 to 1996, Thomas Aebischer worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong and Zurich. In 1996, he joined Holcim Group Support Ltd, and from 1998 to 2002 acted as Head of Corporate Controlling. From 2002 to 2003, he was CFO of Holcim Apasco in Mexico and since then CFO of Holcim US. In 2010, the Board of Directors of Holcim Ltd has appointed him a member of the Executive Committee. He has joined the Executive Committee at the beginning of 2011. Effective April 1, 2011, he will take over CFO responsibility from Theophil H. Schlatter, who will be retiring at the end of March 2011.
